More info about Kyo Ani’s upcoming work Lucky Star (Romanised as Raki Suta in Japanese, where the u is silent in this case, sounding like Lucky Star) is finally finding their way to English language sites. Above pic (made me LOL hard) is a BIG hint that KyoAni is going to include a ton of Suzumiya Haruhi references and parodies in their first manga adaption, very similar to references found in Kanon.

Many have hypothesised that the reason KyoAni is doing Lucky Star is because they are taking a break before they put their full effort into their next series (Suzumiya Haruhi 2nd season i hope). Their previous works, which are all light novel and visual novel adaptions, are easily 3 or 4 times harder to animate and direct compared to a manga adaption.

Lucky Star is a Slice-of-life Seinen Moe anime that features several girls that are supposed to be video game addicts, my first impression drawn from the first volume manga cover. If you like anime like Azumanga Daioh, School Rumble, Manabi Straight! and Ichigo Mashimaro, Lucky Star is a must watch.
