Visual Novels + Vista = Win

I don’t know how many soldiers nowadays actively watch the news, but I remembered when Windows Vista was released, there was this clip of the Japanese all over the country queuing and waiting for insanely long hours to get their hands on it. Why didn’t they use another country as an example I wonder? Well, looks like the net has the answer (if u know where to look). In fact once our generation takes over the technology-hating older generation, I think stuff like newspapers will cease to exist.

70% of computer games sold in Japan are visual novels, which are mostly non-interactive games that count on story and language manipulation to be engaging. If u have not tried a visual novel, I highly encourage trying a few now as they are a very unique form of entertainment. They are essentially books, but draw elements from movies, games and audio dramas, not limiting themselves to any one medium. A very satisfying mix. In a nutshell, a visual novel is a cross between a light novel and an anime.

Well, not a bad reason to pick up vista for me since I noe where to get VNs and their English translation patches. Would be really fun switching between a couple of VNs when u get bored of one. But.. lets wait for the price to drop abit first shall we? :)
